The tenth week again delivered, with a major surprise for the Buffalo Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many fans into the National Football League
This outcome could have created things up for the New England Patriots to creep back into a leading position they used to occupy, with a schedule that provides them an advantage over their eight and two competitors
Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Rams had perfect results to arrange a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award
Analysis - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?
Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to answer
The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a row against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to get ready but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the league's best offenses
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two scores
Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and company recording just 86 yards, their lowest of the season and slightly more than half their 161.5 yard average
Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the pair from Allen specifically. An pass caught by defense in the end zone meaning a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just later
It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Josh Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - not the calm, controlled, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season
Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of something, but for the Bills they'll need an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East
Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the Patriots, they're among three 8-2 squads in the league, all AFC sides, but are they the top team?
You can pick holes in New England, Denver and the Colts actually for dominating the lesser sides, with just five of their combined twenty-four wins achieved against teams with a winning record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Broncos
Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can rely on Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time win in Buffalo seems like a statement
Their two defeats came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, just like the Broncos, from that point - but taking down Baker Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to prepare was huge
Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he certainly earns credit for bravery after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to success
The defense is solid and rookie running back Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22mph this season on his first score
While you can debate who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a successful opponent, although a significant contest against the Bills
Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Chargers (who could also challenge for top seed but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list
The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There's a long way to travel but the opportunity is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC
Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash
Two teams with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three eight and two teams are National Football Conference West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both put up 40 burgers to reach seven and two ahead of the upcoming major game between the two in Los Angeles
Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an high standard (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game
Both could realistically be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown
The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely among the top teams in the NFL
The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the year so far
Player of the Week - Taylor
Taylor could be on for a historic year after his incredible display in Germany - rushing for 244 yards, registering three touchdowns and adding an additional forty-two {receiving yards
