Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
