Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text for the weekend matchups via multiple platforms, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable in those games was the number of infractions both conceded. Philadelphia did so at crucial times so they essentially beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns going into the fourth period against Denver, set to play overseas this weekend.

But it was good to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have the shortfall before direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the victory by four points.

The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in CB Pat Surtain II. They rank first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and Denver prevailed in that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily rushing more than four defenders instead they could plug two linebackers in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel from the outside.

Early on of the season, it was noted on a program that the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They ended last season well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has stepped up significantly while recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks fifth in the NFL in ground gains (over 400) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

That shows how the Broncos are a team that wants to prioritize the run, since you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush while keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also helped QB Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they lack the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, and he is highly agile.

His assets include his movement, being able to pass on the run, and finding different arm angles to deliver the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws across the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great poise under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and can pass in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.

If you consistently rush it eats up the clock and makes the defence to be on the field for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defense has to cover the field downfield and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

Nix has pushed back at Payton during games sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for him to have a young quarterback that is similar to play-dough. The coach can really develop him how he desires to build it. I think it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the achievements Denver are having on offence is mostly due to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix aids make him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet are they good enough to go against a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, which is a good place to be in the AFC West. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the NFL began tracking turnovers in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

After this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the division.

This hinges upon which form of the Chiefs they face because Denver {beat|def
