Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.
In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's latest album, the new release, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.
"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
My son advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
Their performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.
However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
